Antonia G. Wolfson

My paintings are influenced through the nature in Florida, especially by the Gulf. The flow of the colors and dissolution of form are what transforms my paintings.

I love how the colors blend, merge and flow together. I like to use a large canvas by setting it up at various heights and layering huge washes of fluid acrylic paint onto it, or add large, energetic brush strokes, work with spray paints and mediums over it. I combine several techniques and media to create my paintings.

By manipulating colors using different media, I try to achieve a magical experience.  I manipulate colors using chemical media and observe the different reactions, color changes and surface reactions that appear to be three-dimensional.
